- Who will be photographing our wedding?
Marc Lester Photography is an award winning photography studio. All weddings are photographed by Marc and depending on the investment option chosen, one of our associate photographers will be there as a second photographer or assistant.

- How would you describe your style?
While many photographers try to categorize themselves as photojournalistic, we prefer to not label ourselves with just one style. However, our style is best described as a unique, candid style of photography that is found exclusively at Marc Lester Photography.

- What makes wedding coverage from Marc Lester Photography special?
Besides the fact that we offer amazing images along with amazing customer service, there are many reasons Marc Lester Photography is the clear choice for your wedding images.
* With our exclusive “custom options” program, we allow our couples to customize their wedding investments to their exact needs without extra costs.
* We are the only studio in the area to give our couples a slideshow of their wedding day images during the reception.
* One year after your wedding, you receive your full resolution digital images on an archival quality DVD as your own personal heirloom.
* Using our expertise in the wedding industry, we are here to help you with more than just the photographs, we are available to help you with planning every aspect of your wedding day.

- Why do you only photograph a limited number of weddings each year?
In order to devote the amount of time we feel is appropriate with every couple, we have chosen to only accept a select few weddings. Including the engagement session, custom option design, wedding day and album design, we spend forty to fifty hours on each wedding.

- How far in advance should we reserve our date?
While it is difficult to say for sure, our weekends between April and October are typically reserved 12-18 months in advance. Please contact us to check our availability for your wedding date.

- Do you use film or digital?
Marc Lester Photography is 100% digitally Nikon based. With a D2x, D2h, D70 and a range of pro lenses from 10.5mm-200mm, we are capable of handling almost every situation.

- How long do digital prints last?
Prints made from digital files are actually made with the same materials as traditional prints. These prints are estimated to last 70+ years, and are guaranteed for life.

- How many images do you capture during a wedding?
Depending on the event (ceremony vs reception) and location, we capture roughly 100 pictures per hour of coverage. From that number, we edit out 10-20% during proofing for a variety of reasons (closed eyes, duplicate shots, etc).

- How soon will our images be ready?
Unless otherwise discussed, wedding images take approximately two weeks before your proof gallery is ready online. Your custom proof album or printed proof images typically take about four weeks from the date of the wedding.

- How does our online proof gallery work?
Images proof galleries are displayed for three months through our partner site, Pictage. During that time, anyone wishing to order may do so. After the gallery is taken offline, the images are still available, however you will need to contact our studio to place your order.

- What if your camera breaks, do you bring backup equipment?
Yes. We bring at least two of everything (and more in some cases!) to every wedding. To ensure that your images are safe, we have also invested in a wireless transfer system. This system allows the transfer of your images to a laptop while we are still shooting! Almost every single image gets backed in two places in less than 10 seconds after the image is captured.

- Do you travel?
We are available for travel anywhere within the US or abroad. All wedding investments include travel to and from events within one hour of Peoria, IL. If farther, overnight lodging for two with accommodations comparable to those of your family and guests will be required. These accomodations can either be made by the bride and groom, or we will make our own and bill you at the time the proofs are delivered.

- We want you to photograph our wedding, but we are not from the Peoria area. What do we do?
Viewing our online portfolio is a great place to start. And while it is our preference to meet in person, many couples have reserved their date with us after only viewing our website and speaking to us on the phone. Once you have decided to reserve us, please call us so we can discuss your wedding plans in greater detail.

- I see that you photograph in Salt Lake City as well, how does that work?
Our studio will be moving to the Salt Lake City area in early 2009. We are currently accepting weddings in the Salt Lake area. Please contact us for details.
